ABOUT ME

My name is Amanda and i'm 24. I love baking, crafting (mostly sewing and re-purposeing), riding my bike, reading, and partying on occasion. I just started a new job at a bakery in downtown Philly and i'm really excited about it. I am brutally honest, slightly sarcastic, open-minded, and I love to laugh.
My travel buddy is Samantha and I go nowhere without her. She's also sarcastic, honest, and hilarious. We've been described as "More fun to watch than any television program." True story.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Be the change you wish to see. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Judge others as you wish to be judged.

I'm typically a free spirit held aground by the necessities of life (read, money) and i'm open to pretty much any experience. I think joy is in the little things. Soft spring grass, candle light, snowflakes, new love, ice cream, that smell right before it storms ...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed through Philly and will eventually host around here, just not until I get some furniture .... I'm totally down for meet ups and city exploring though!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said, me and my roommate surfed through Philly on our pre-moving trip here. I haven't met anyone through couch surfing that I didn't like and i've met many wonderful people!

Intereses

As previously mentioned baking, crafting (mostly sewing and re-purposeing), riding my bike, reading, and partying on occasion. I also love walks, getting lost to find, ice cream, and typically being over-dressed at any moment in time.

I am a swing dance instructor and have taught many pupils from their very first day. I used to dance a great deal and teach in Rockford. I don't participate as much anymore but I still love it and enjoy teaching.

I'd love to learn how to basket weave or skate/long/snowboard.
