Grown up in a Village near Hannover (Northern Germany),and lived in Hannover/Linden for the last 7 Years. Even if this City is the most beautiful liveble city in the world I thought i should see all the other places in the World that are nearly as good as

ABOUT ME

My friend told me I should describe how I am, and should definitely write the truth. So I asked her if it is a good Idea to mention, that I'm Lazy, always sleepy and the world outside my front Door scares me. She said. Martin, these are the only Habits you have, so,yeah do it.

She is so full of wisdom... So, lets Start: I'm Lazy, always sleepy and the world outside scares me me. Why I'm travelling? maybe to see that the world out there is not as scary as I think (was travelling for 1 year in 2011, and I must say, apart of stinky tofu and rotten crab paste it isn't.)
Security advice: I hate unexpected Hugs. Seriously. there is nearly nothing worse, than standing around, dreaming, and then...... YAK!!! someone i barely know, thinks i could need a Hug. BUT I DON'T!!!

On the other hand, I love Anteaters an Armadillos (and nearly all other animals with cute noses) They are the real bearers of Joy and happiness in this World. and one day everyone will know it, and the world will be a better place.

In the time I don't have Armadillo & co around me, i really enjoy sharing a beer and talking nonsense or discussing about politics (which is nearly the same I think). I Love Movies and quoting them.

And if you had a bad day and need something funny to cheer you up, just throw things at me, tell me to catch them and see what happens.

PHILOSOPHY

Haven't really found it, but the last years I lived pretty well following this: "Treat other People like you want to be treated." I Think thats a simple rule, that makes so many things easier in Life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couchsurfing in 2011, also found one of my best friends, who hosted me back in australia. Due to that experience i hope i can give something back to the community by beeing a good hoster now back in germany.

Interests

For one year now i started to educate myself in beer. not just drinking it, but also learning, what are the differences, what can you do with it etc. so if you have a thing for beer and want to talk about it. I'm your man :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is awesome, I wouldnt say that I listen to any kind of music, but I Like good music. Mostly alternative/Independent and Punk/Ska-Punk, but I also like Elektro, and some House and Hip Hop tracks.
My all time favorite are the Foo Fighters
at the moment I listen to Drapht, Skrillex, Rise against, Milencollin and some German bands, like: Kettcar, Rantanplan.

Movies: Watchmen, 300, Kick Ass, Lord of War, All Monty Python movies, Das Weisse Rauschen, 21 Gramms, Babylon, Brothers..... sooo many good movies on this planet (and so many bad ones :-) )

Books I really like: harry Potter, The Girl with the dragon Tattoo, and a lot of Fantasy Stuff, Dune... and of course GAME OF THRONES.

I know a lot about Beer, Politics, History, Music and Movies and can talk for days about it (always good, when the tv is broken)
