ABOUT ME

I'm married to my husband Garrett and we have 4 beautiful boys:
Anthony 21, Christopher 19, Nicholas 15, and Erik 14. Our son, Christopher has been at the Murdoch Center in Butner, North Carolina since Feb. 23, 2009 when he was only 9! I've missed being able to raise him with his brothers in our own home. He had the worst case of autism and had violent tendencies. We just had so much trouble handling him. It really broke my heart to have him live outside of our home. So many years of not being able to raise him and can never get those years back. It is one thing that truly saddens me. Because he doesn't talk and I'm always hoping he is treated well. He is now at the Caswell Developmental Center in Kinston, NC as of Feb. 4, 2019..much closer to home.

Religion: Roman Catholic(I follow the beat of my own drum! Leaning more towards spirituality rather than religion).

Nicholas is our only son who talks, and is typically developing. I grew up in Fresno, California. I'm a Gemini and I'm a 5th child of 7, with 3 older sisters, 1 older brother and 2 younger brothers. I lived there until I was 21, then in 1989 I moved to Brigham City, Utah, then lived in Magna, UT, and then Taylorsville, UT, then in 1991, I joined the military and went off to Parris Island, South Carolina.
My first duty station was at Camp Foster in Okinawa, Japan. I really enjoyed it there and wouldn't mind visiting it again among many other places.

I love to read especially about topics relating to metaphysics, spirituality, and various esoteric subjects. I am a reiki master and I do regular reiki healings and I also do intuitive card readings for people. I am very interested in vibrational medicine and other types of healing energies. My most current interest is homeopathy which I'm currently enrolled in a 3 year online course for classical homeopathy.

I have always wanted to travel and meet new people from all over the world and this couchsurfing network is the best thing I've found.

I just love to laugh and have fun and get to know different people and enjoy new places and sights!
I like the idea of building friendships with new people all the time. I don't like negativity, hostility, or pessimism(so far, I've only had one couchsurfing host who was extremely negative, but the rest have been wonderful) . I've had my fair share of stress and negativity in my life(as I'm sure everyone has at sometime or another), but I always try to be optimistic and just keep moving forward trying to enjoy life as best I can and just look for the good in everyone and everything.

I love to indulge myself in an interesting spiritual workshop every now and then or browse some metaphysical stores for books, stones, crystals, etc..

PHILOSOPHY

I tend to believe in "live and let live" and also the golden rule of doing unto others as you would have done unto you.

"If it feels good...DO IT!, but don't hurt anyone in the process"

I'm looking forward to going to Alonissos, Greece again this summer from the end of May to middle of June 2019! I will be taking 2 advanced homeopathy courses while in Greece from the master homeopathist himself, Prof. George Vithoulkas who set up the whole curriculum of the 3 year course of which I am enrolled.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm not able to offer a couch right now since our house is small and there's no room or extra beds, but hopefully when we get our own house, I will be able to then..right now we live with my mother-in-law.

Keep me in mind if you want to meet for coffee or a drink..I am usually able to show people around the area on some week days. Let me know the dates you are in town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted (Sept/Oct.2007) by some wonderful people in Amsterdam, Paris, Pau, and in a small village called Badens near Carcassonne.

I recently enjoyed a trip to Europe with my mom and aunt from June 6th-24th of 2008. We visited Shannon, Killarney, Limerick, and Dublin, Ireland, London, Salzburg, Berteschegaden(in Bavaria), Amsterdam, Rome, Naples, Carcassonne, Badens, Paris, and Nantes.

I can't wait until I can visit Europe again!!

Interests

Reading, metaphysics, reiki, just laughing and having a good time with friends, museums, fitness, music, I love XM radio (Air Musique, and Sur La Route are my favorite radio stations. I love lots of other types of music too. I love listening to french songs even though I don't always know the words.

One interest I would not mind picking up and learning something about is film-making. I would be interested in learning how to make films and do documentaries, interview some people, tell "others" stories regarding a vast range of topics...send a message to the world.

I want to meet all kinds of people from all over the world and expand my horizons about their language, culture, and share good conversation of many varied topics with each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies with drama and especially ones based on true stories...I love documentaries and I enjoy researching conspiracy theories. I also enjoy having a good laugh to a great comedy. I love intense drama. I love being on the edge of my seat watching a movie and being in suspense.

I like all kinds of music and movies.
I love dance music and just about all genres of music excluding heavy metal and rap...they don't do anything for me.

I like a lot of French singers/bands like Emi Bond, Anik Jean, Alizee Jacotey, Noir Silence, Cafeine, Alfa Rococo, Mimosa, Shy'm, Balboa, Eric Panic, Carla Bruni,Marilou Bourdon, Ariane Moffatt, Melanie Renaud, etc.

I also love 70s, and 80s music and alternative rock.

Books: I love authors like Cathy O'Brien and Mark Phillips, Doreen Virtue, David Icke, Donna Eden, Drunvalo Melchizedek, Robert Monroe, Stewart Swerdlow, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Managed to produce 4 beautiful boys, and 3 of them autistic!!! Wow! All of them blessings nevertheless!

I've lived in Okinawa for one year while in the military(stationed at Camp Foster). I've also been to Paris, France during my senior year of highschool and I fell in love with Paris!!!

I plan to go a whole lot more places as my situation hopefully will allow!

I'm never satisfied with what I've done, but continually want to do more and more and more....
the world's just too big and there are too many places to visit and too many people to meet. It's a life long adventure and one I plan to enjoy to the fullest!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am all too familiar with autism, so if anyone with autistic kids wants to meet up with me over lunch or a drink and swap information, I would be glad to do that.
Of course the subject doesn't have to be on autism, but can certainly be on any and everything else.

I enjoy deep conversations especially about metaphysics, philosophy, religions, cultures, and energy healing, etc...
