A contradiction of sorts, I can be mad fun or intensely profound depending on my mood or the company. Forever indecisive, as you'll realise when you see me studying a restaurant menu a tad bit longer than normal or waiting years before I visit a place I've been wanting to. And yet there is an impulsive side to me that will find me dancing on the streets on a whim or changing plans on the go. I don't see travel as a checklist of places to visit and experiences to tick off. I think those things happen when they have to... effortlessly. Travel for me is life-transforming in the realisations it affords you about yourself, your place in the world at large and a powerful medium to connect with people and nature.

Mainly because I find that staying out of hotels as you travel from city to city is hardly a way to get to know a place. To really get an immersive experience of a new place, I like to get to know its people and their way of life. So I'm here to be able to connect with locals on my travels, benefit from native knowledge and hopefully make friends for life. And I'd be glad to return the favour in my city of residence :)

I'd have one thing to tell you if I had never spent the night on a boat anchored mid-sea. Never driven the breadth of Scotland and Ireland. Or gone moonlight trekking. Never snorkelled in Maldives. Never gone on a night-safari that involved crossing swamps and returning with leeches on my feet. Never raved in Goa. Never almost missed a train from Paris to Amsterdam. Or lost a day in Amsterdam to memory. Never lived in a pool villa with butler service in Bali. Not seen anything questionable in Bangkok. Not stuck up my tongue to a stone in Blarney Castle that promises you the gift of the gab. Never gone on a Game of Thrones tour in Northern Ireland and won the tour quiz, being the only GOT viewer of the group of 6. Never camped on the beaches of UAE and attempted shooting our own Blairwitch Project while visiting abandoned & possibly haunted ruins. When each experience is so different from the other, how do you pick one?
