About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To climb all that I can and to discover adventure in its purest form, in a completely foreign land to my own.

ABOUT ME

I have been traveling continuously since January 2013. I graduated college May 2012 with a bachelors degree in Wildlife Biology and a minor in Journalism. I moved immediately to Salt Lake City to chase my rock climbing dreams. I worked steady jobs as a children's program coordinator at a prestigious climbing gym and as a gear salesman for Backcountry.com but felt unfulfilled despite the copious amounts of climbing I was adding to my resume. I sold my second car and donated many of my belongings and moved myself and my dog into the back of my truck and began traveling full time. I have since bought a Dodge Sprinter van and have been traveling for over 5 years. I run a small contracting company called Nomad Construction as well as a nonprofit organization called Constructing a Difference.
I have a dog, Sadey. She's a 5 year old German Shorthair Pointer and she is the best traveling partner I could ever ask for.

I have traveled through parts of Asia, as well as Central America, Peru, Patagonia, Canada and nearly all of the US. Currently, I’m riding my bicycle across the US with Sadey.

PHILOSOPHY

The core of man's spirit comes from new experiences.

That moment when everything begins to go wrong is that moment your adventure truly starts. Yvon Chouinard

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I'm still traveling full time and can't offer anyone a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled around Colorado with my brother, we couch surfed there with some really cool people and I rather enjoy the idea. I couch surfed in Argentina and I've surfed off and on all over the states looking for a shower.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love movies but don't love A movie. Huge fan of the oldies including The Who, Bob Seger, The Eagles, Del Amitri, Billy Joel. I enjoy bluegrass music such as Trampled By Turtles, Yonder Mountain String Band, Mandolin Orange and I love acoustic songwriters like Gregory Alan Isakov and Alexi Murdoch. I read a lot of adventure and travel writing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I cook a mean pancake. I'm a talker and love to tell stories and have many stories to tell.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have copious amounts of stories that I have no problem sharing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Chile, Nepal, Thailand
