About Me
Hi! I'm Regan! Spent most of my life in Portland, Oregon in the United States, but I moved to France 3 months ago and I could NOT be happier. As of right now, I am living in Brest and studying the French language. A little bit about me? Hmm.. -my last name is Darling -I learned how to ride a bike in high heels -I carry a red journal with me everywhere I go because I am afraid of forgetting things - I can quote the entire movie, "The Princess Bride" -I still burn everything I try to cook. Just a little. I also write letters constantly, a bit of an archaic art form I just can’t let go of ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Simply put, I'm on Couchsurfing because this past New Years I would have been on my own in Paris if not for Couchsurfing. Instead, I met incredible people who were kind enough to share coffee with me, or share stories while walking. It’s an incredible community that aligns with what I love most. I've found that out of everything, what brings me the most happiness is being in new cities, and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh where to even begin... Favorite music: L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole, Heart of Glass by Blondie, Whats going on by Marvin Gaye... the list goes on... Movies! “Les Choristes”. I don't usually have a long enough attention span for movies, but I used to watch that movies all the time when I was younger, so now the music in particular makes me nostalgic. Books: Any memoir ever... and Pride and Prejudice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed mountains for an entire week in the North Cascades mountain range two years ago. There was something magical about sleeping in tents nestled in the midst of the mountain range, waking up, climbing a mountain, going back to sleep, and then waking up the next morning being able to do the same.
What I Can Share with Hosts
