ABOUT ME

I grew up in Nuremberg and started studying communication science and working in the media after finishing school in 2011. But after a few semesters at university and working for a local TV channel, I realized that journalism is not what I really want to do in life: what I want to do is working in the music business. So I changed my life and decided to move to Berlin to do an internship there at a music TV show called TV Noir (http://tvnoir.de). In September 2014 I decided to study again, so I moved from Berlin to Mannheim and started studying music business here.

I'm sharing a flat with two amazing girls who are also studying music business at the same university than I do. We love to hang out together, having breakfast or dinner, drinking wine, watching films or going out. Living with these two awesome human beings feels like living with a family.

Well, that's what happened in my life..now a few facts about me:

Absolutely important for me: coffee and music. :)

What I love and definitely want to have one day: really big dogs! (my family has two (small) dogs)

The best fruit? Lychee! (I'm totally crazy about Lychees..for real.)

I always need a positive atmosphere (hate people arguing while being in the same room than me).

Oh and I can't cook. I always try to - I vow! :D - but it never tastes good.
---> there are NEWS about that fact: I'm getting better in cooking (and I'm SO proud of that!!!)

Last thing to say: I'm always sulky in the morning...but it's getting better after I got my coffee, so don't worry ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do my best to meet people everywhere and have wonderful moments with them. When I'm exploring a country, not the landscape or the culture is important for me - important are the people. Because in my opinion people can form the ugliest place to the most beautiful; it's them who make the difference.

I try to give people who stay at my place a home - not just a place to stay. I want to show them how we live here and let them feel our way of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing by travelling around in UK for one month in August 2012 and had amazing experiences there. :)
When I came back to my hometown Nuremberg I started to be a host as well and since that I had lots of amazing moments with lovely couchsurfing guests and hosts.

In August 2013 I travelled around in Finland and Russia and found a lot of new couchsurfing friends there.

Unfortunately I had to have a break from couchsurfing when I moved to Berlin as I had not the opportunities to offer a couch there and also no time to travel. But I'm more than happy that I can offer my couch again now here in Mannheim and hopefully welcome wonderful guests in our beautiful flat. :)

I think it's fantastic to become friends with people from everywhere. Couchsurfing makes my everyday life unique. :)

Interests

I used to do lots of media stuff like spots for Radio or TV. That's an amazing hobby because you often do unusual and exciting things to report on it . Or you get free entry for events and concerts and meet interesting people for interviews. :) But this hobby is based in Nuremberg so I'm only doing this when I'm visiting my hometown.
My biggest interest might be music, I guess :) For me there's nothing better than listening to live music.

I drove a jetski in August 2011 - an incredible feeling to drive on the water with a speed like that. Feels a bit like being free. :)
