About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My idea is that everything is relative anyway so my mission statement would be SO MAKE THE MOST OF IT
ABOUT ME
I immigrated from Germany, Berlin at the young age of 7 to live in New Zealand with my father, mother and younger brother. I grew up in Auckland, Waiheke Island and the Coromandel Peninsula. Then at the age of 21 I decided to look at the big, wide world and went to Berlin. First I worked in Berlin at at great little cafe for two years but decided I needed to use my mind hence me commencing my studies in social work. And so 1 year turned into six and it ended up being rather hard to leave Berlin, which has become my second home in a way. Now I have been in Melbourne for the last two years and am really enjoying it!
PHILOSOPHY
Same as misson statement!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have always lent my couch to people over the years..I tend to practice an open-home policy as much as I can. I grew up for quite a few years in a community and so have an inner sense of sharing ones space. I am currently not residing anywhere that is large enough to comfortably fit another person.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have couchsurfed in Wellington (New Zealand) with the perferct host for my first experience and also surfed with the most wonderful couple in Amsterdam.
Interests
yoga out in the open, the taste of salt water running down my cheeks, tea on a sunny afternoon out on the deck, crazy art house movies but also the odd Hollywood blockbuster, bicycling around a place or town to be able to get off at any point to check out what is happening on the other side of the road, I love hammocks, playing soccer in the mud but also at other times actually soccer anytime, ahh so much really too much to list...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked along the beach with a coastal Emu...she was taking her morning stroll and so was I. So picture this: a bird the same size as a human being meandering along the sand with its big three-toed feet and long wierd neck joined to a tiny head. She was absolutely not scared of me walking alongside her...just curious
Teach, Learn, Share
I am open to people doing yoga with me, as I find it much easier when someone else is motivated to do it...as I can get a wee bit lazy with it sometimes
