Interests

I am so much into arts and culture. Took it as a profession for years, being an architecture and landscape photographer as well as the Director of Darb 1718, a contemporary art and culture center in Egypt, and the founder of a number of cultular initiatives in Egypt.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to list my favorite stuff, but in a glimpse I would say two of my favorite books are The Kite Runner, The Unbearable lightness of Being, and The Hunger Games series. Music-wise I would say Pink Floyd are my favorite ever, alongside Queen, Savatage, and Dire Straits. Movies would be the 2 triologies of The Dark Knight and The Godfather.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a risky and dramatical yet liberating decision 2 years ago by quitting corporate life after 10 years to pursue my dream in photography, art, and culture fields. I kept it for a while, then got back to the IT field, but never foresaken my love to art and photography, i still do it as a freelancing job.

On a lighter note, I am always open to taking strangers around my city and show them its hidden gems. I enjoy it when people I don't know see the city through my eyes.
