CURRENT MISSION

To meet as many different peoples and cultures I can in my whole life! I've come a long way already: I am currently studying at a University in the US with more Japanese and Chinese people than in their own countries ;)

ABOUT ME

I like playing the guitar in my free time. I am not as good as I want to be, but has anyone ever not had that feeling? When I move back to the Netherlands I am going to buy a piano, and I'm going to take singing lessons. (I like music, by the way :p!).
I don't mind hanging out at nights AT ALL :). I also love watching movies and series in the evenings... lots and lots.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is not so personal. The Dalai Lama once said: "Man, [...] sacrifices his health in order to make money; then sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. Then he is so anxious about the future that he doesn't enjoy the present, and as a result, he doesn't live in the present or the future. And he lives as if he's never going to die and then dies having never really lived"

Whether you laugh or cry when you read it, it is so true. I've only recently discovered this quote, but I'm going to live it to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I am in the US, I will try to be "surfing" a lot, haha! Once I return home and I get the right house for it, I definitely want people to sleep on my couch, too! It will be a very warm and cosy one, I assure you. And I'll cook you a Dutch dish if you like ;)! Coffee/Tea will be here as well. Go for it ;)!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had no CouchSurfing experiences yet, but when I heard of this last week, I knew I wanted to jump right in. This is going to be so cool!

Interests

-Travelling. I love meeting new people, areas and cultures. Go diversity in the human race ;D!
-Learning things. I would love to be a student for the rest of my life. But I probably cannot. We will see :).
-Music! I love folk and classic rock mostly. Some modern rock is more than acceptible, and indie music is more than likeable! I love going to music festivals as well!
-Playing the music :), As said before!
