About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm an absent-minded 5-year-old trapped in the body of a messy-haired university student who is always in a rush and always in need of a pen.
I discovered my love for books at an early age and have no idea how it didn't result in me being forever broke.
I like an honest pair of socks (especially in the morning), and I'll take it over a shiny pair of overexpensive shoes any day.
I have a reputation of having an uncanny obsession with sci-fi and fantasy novels, video games and television shows. If a week goes by without me rambling on about either of these, you really should notify my doctor.
"Did I do anything last night that suggested I was sane?"
Terry Pratchett, Going Postal
PHILOSOPHY
"Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly."
â Neil Gaiman (The Sandman: Fables and Reflections)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I can't offer a couch, sadly enough, but I am more than happy to meet up for a coffee and discuss ideas and talk about... anything.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch- and friendsurfed our way in Germany with my boyfriend. Second-hand experiences include hearing about my cousin's Eurotrip and meeting some people my boyfriend hosted.
Interests
Art, science, wonder. Music, words, pretty things. Currently obsessed with black and white classics and Katharine Hepburn.

Music, Movies, and Books
In movies and books, my favourites are the sci-fi and fantasy ones, but I really like reading so... I'll pretty much read anything that comes my way. Favourite writers inclue Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Bohumil Hrabal, John Updike, Frank Herbert and Jonathan Safran Foer.
As for music, I am pretty lyrics oriented most of the time, so I like indie things, but I relish in older rock such as Hendrix and Dylan. I enjoy jazz a lot. I like irish music, have a soft spot for alternative-symphonical metal and - 'cause it fits so much into the mix - dubstep.
Teach, Learn, Share
English, French, German, Latin, Hungarian knowledge (some better than the others, some more of laughing matters), a positive outlook on life, medical knowledge or rather interests, a vast fantasy world in that scatterbrain of mine and a Know-How Encyclopedia on dealing with shit that happens in one's life.
