Hi everyone!
My name is Remo Leaño.

I grew up in Tilcara, Jujuy, a little town in northern Argentina.
My mom teached me how to sing and create coplas, a native way of singing and expresing from native cultures in South America.

I consider myself an artist, I live, breathe and love sharing the art of the universe in me and you.

I've been writing for the last 20 years: coplas, haikus, poems, and about phylosophy and existencialism.
I already wrote 10 books, which I printed and distributed by myself along all my country.

I am a musician, very interested in Musicology. I have participated in several congreses in Chile and Argentina. I research about ancestral ways of singing with a drum and the poetry in the Iberic Peninsula and South America in general. I've been in the First Music Medicin festival in the Sacred Valley in Peru.

I performed different kind of shows, with photography and electroacustic mixes.

I have carried my work as a teacher and researcher to Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Cuba.

My artistic creations look forward to connect the words with the feeling, and the ancient history that unifies every being in this planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first trip to Europe, I have always wanted to meet the root of the culture that conquered my continent. I want to understand and learn about their history.
I'm also very interested in meeting new people, that can help me learn about european cultures in general.
I like traveling as a local, don't feel like a tourist. I have some friends in Argentina that encouraged me trying this network, since I use to "couchsurf"with my friends around the country anyway :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music around the world, from ethnic to rock and roll, from blues and jazz to rap and hip hop, from ancient drum songs to electronics, the music in my life is my pulse and guide. Cinephile, having studied film and photography. The cinema is a door that opens and is renewed.

Walk on my birthday, under the full moon, around the IncaHuasi island in the Salar de Uyuni, Plurinational State of Bolivia.
