About Me

Hello guys, I'm Remy, a funny Frenchy long therm traveler full of humor and good hope.
I'm 22 years old, full of energy and stories to tell.
I'm trying to do a world trip by myself. Been away for 18months now.
I already spent 10 Months in New Zealand walking and hitchhiking around the country (and to improve my English), 2 months in Japan traveling by bicycle. 1 and 1/2 month in malaysia. I also spent 5 months in Nepal volunteering and climbing different part of the Himalaya, and finally 2 months in India.
I'm now in Malaysia for few more days, going to Australia for few months, discovering and also working. You could understand, it's now time to make money for the next adventures, Yeah !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why couchsurfing, because for me, traveling in a country means getting a real local experience. I wanna share with the all world what I've learned from other, and learn more from your experiences. I think couchsurfing is a really good alternative.
And to be honest it's also because I can save a little bit my money against some help for my next adventures.

Interests

I love traveling of course, but I also practice a lots of extreme sports (Like rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, downhill, slacklining).
But i really found my real passion in New Zealand. It's to climb every mountain I can find, I love the sensation when I'm on the top of a big mountain, it feels like a freedom.
Like I told you, I cycle around Japan for two months. Now I enjoy so much cycling aswell !
My second big passion is drawing, I would like to become a tattoo artist, it's why I'm drawing and painting tattoo models all the time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love every kind of music, I let a real importance for music in my travel, because in bicycle I'm most of the time by myself It's why music is my only real good friend who can push me further.
I had also a big attraction for movie, I used to go almost everydays to the cinema when i was student. Its actually much harder to do it now, but i also try to keep connected.
About my favorite books, I don't like to speak about books, I like more speaking about author, and my favorite one is definitly Paulo Coelho. He inspired me a lot, and push me to find my spiritual path.
But of course, my first interest in life is drawing and painting, and I would like ti share with you my biggest passion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I done in my last travel in New Zealand was to do the Kepler Treck in winter, with probably 2 meters snow everywhere for 3 days.
But the amazing thing in this story it's because i Pushed this Brazilian guy who never saw the snow before to do it. And to see how proud of himself he was at the end was really amazing.
It's one of lots of amazing stories who happens to me during these 2 years.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love sharing some french recipe (like french bread,...) with you. And i would love learn some recipe from your country, i actually wanna learn everything about your country, It's actually why I choose this different way to travel, because I wanna be deeper in your culture who is very different from mine.
And for the one who loves arts, I can share with you what I can do about painting and drawing ! And maybe for the most adventures, let me making a nice tattoo on your skin ;).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking, I love make a nice food from my country or not and sharing this with my friends.
I can also use my experience in mechanical engineering for help you to fix many things.
And for me the most important thing, it's to share all my travel experience, every nice and bad experience happened to me.
