ABOUT ME

I'm an American student at Georgetown University. I spent a year abroad in Lyon, France, during which I got to travel a fair amount around Europe, but now I'm loving being back home in DC! I love to cook, explore, and learn new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed several times while I was traveling in Europe, and I really enjoyed experiencing the places I visited in a way I would not have been able to otherwise. Now that I'm home, I'm hoping to pay it forward! I LOVE DC and would be so excited to show off all my favorite spots!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in the UK, France, and Italy. I met really interesting people and had some amazing experiences. I've also had some great experiences hosting in DC!

Interests

I love to cook, and American baked goods are my speciality (cookies, muffins, and cupcakes, oh my!) Loving to eat goes along with that, of course, so I'm always interested in trying new foods. I'm also passionate about learning languages. I'm a native English speaker, and I also speak fluent French, a decent amount of Italian, a smattering of Russian and German, and a few words of whatever else I can pick up while traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Having a cocktail at a bar on the 87th floor of the second-tallest building in Shanghai and looking out over the city at night.
- Watching lava drip into the ocean in Hawaii--the earth forming as I watched
- The Musée Rodin in Paris
- The food everywhere: xiaolongbao in Shanghai, pirozhki in Russia, foie gras in France!
- The view of Edinburgh from Arthur's Peak
- Hiking in the Atlas Mountains (in ballet flats)
