About Me
Hi Couchsurfing! I'm Remy, a 39-year-old native Bostonian currently living right outside downtown with my partner Eric, our dog Tosin, and our two cats!
I'm a big sports fan; my favorite sports to watch are hockey, Formula 1, and Indycar. Eric is a classically trained guitarist and can talk forever about music! He is also a fantastic cook. (Please teach him your favorite recipes!)
We love to travel; my travel was North America-based until I was 27. Leaving my States-and-Canada bubble for the first time (London, you were great!) opened up a whole new passion for me in 2014!
I've been to 45/50 United States, as well as Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, England, Switzerland, Austria, and Iceland. And the Basel Airport, so...France for like five seconds. :) My favorite non-Boston cities are Montreal, Stockholm, and Munich (so far!) Eric has been to Sweden and Iceland, and we're looking to get him out to more places soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was inspired to get more involved after the Boston bombing in 2013. I had couchsurfed a few times at that point, and really felt the urge to start hosting people to show them the beauty of my home city. Learning from locals is, in my opinion, the absolute best way to experience a place!
Interests
hockey, beer, biking, soccer, watching formula 1, reading, creating stupid things in photoshop, postcrossing, natural disasters, collecting souvenir double-shot glasses and novelty hockey pucks and refrigerator magnets and various other sports paraphernalia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camping on Cocoa Beach two miles from a space shuttle launch in summer 2008 was INCREDIBLY neat! And it's a story I'm grateful to have now that the Space Shuttle program has been discontinued.
I am also blessed to have been able to go to TWO Stanley Cup Final Game 6's. I also saw my favorite rookie driver win the Indy 500 - and then ended up in Victory Circle with him. My sports karma is off the charts. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am transgender (which is why all my references are under a different name!) Very happy to share knowledge about my experiences.
