About Me
Hi Couchsurfing! I'm Remy, a 38-year-old native Bostonian currently living in Somerville with my partner Eric, our dog Tosin, and our two cats!
I'm a big sports fan; my favorite sports to watch are hockey, Formula 1, and Indycar. Eric is a classically trained guitarist and can talk forever about music! He is also a fantastic cook.
We love to travel - in summer 2014 I left North America for the first time (London, you were great!) I've been to 45/50 United States, as well as Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, England, Switzerland, Austria, and Iceland. And the Basel Airport, so...France for like five seconds. :) My favorite non-Boston cities are Montreal, Stockholm, and Munich. So far. That's subject to change, probably. Eric has been to Sweden and Iceland, and we're looking to get him out to more places soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I moved back to Boston from St. Louis in 2013 and hosted over 85 people; we finally have space again so I'm excited to host travelers for the first time since 2017!
I have couchsurfed in Minneapolis, Ann Arbor, Ottawa and Long Beach with some lovely people and had a great time! I've also hosted people while I lived in St. Louis and I've started hosting again in Boston.
Interests
hockey, beer, biking, soccer, watching formula 1, reading, creating stupid things in photoshop, postcrossing, natural disasters, collecting souvenir double-shot glasses and novelty hockey pucks and refrigerator magnets and various other sports paraphernalia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've ever done is probably camping on Cocoa Beach in Florida (only a few miles from Cape Canaveral) on the night of a space shuttle launch.
The most amazing thing I've done recently is go to Finland in midwinter! The lack of sunlight is CRAZY. We got to watch some really good hockey while we were there.
