my name is Rena, I am 19 years old and from Germany. At the moment I am living near NYC and I just love being here in the US. I am a friendly, openminded and outgoing person and love to explore different places and cultures. Currently I am working as an au pair and besides taking care of my hostkids I like to meet my friends, go to the movies, make some sports and travel on the weekends.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As I am working as an au pair I have a lot of free time - especially on the weekends- to travel around the US. Couchsurfing seems to be a good alternative for me to meet people that actually live in the great cities that I am visiting. Getting the opportunity to live in another persons home seems very adventurous and exciting to me.

兴趣

My biggest hobby is music. I am playing the piano and love to sing or just listen to my favorite music.
Furthermore, I like doing sports like jogging, swimming, badminton or skiing.
When I meet my friends we love to go out to try some new cool food, watch movies or travel together.

I love music from Coldplay, Two Door Cinema Club and many things that you hear in the radio. Also old fun stuff like Mamma said from the Shirelles is on my playlist.
In my free time I am watching a lot of movies or series. On of my favorite movies is "Because I said so" and I am desperately on my way to finish Gossip Girl. :D
As I have a lot of free time as an au pair I finally found the time to read Harry Potter what I definetely should have done 10 years ago...

I am sure you hosted a lot of German au pairs before but I like to share my German food habits. Especially I love to bake, so what if we bake something together? Or I can bring some of the amazing chocolates Germany has to offer. :)
