ABOUT ME

I grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska but have lived throughout the state. AK is a wild and crazy place to live and explore! I am a person who is always seeking an adventure, in many forms, and trying my damnedest to make those adventures happen! I speak some French after living in Quebec, and now I am living in Givet, France...so bring it on, francophones!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few times, met some great people through other surfers, traveled or met up with surfers that didn't need a place, and in 2010 I started hosting! We hosted in Spenard at the "Guachaus" for a couple summers (we love guacamole), and it was epic! Summer in AK with people stoked to be there? Yes!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfer: Toronto, Montréal, Clam Gulch AK. Hosting: Anchorage, AK. I also like group outings, like meeting up with some Londoners for a Christmas bike ride 2012, and a couple of kickball tourneys in Anchorage, and rock climbing in Belgium on December 1 when I though my fingers were going to fall off! BRR!

I am interested in a lot of things, especially things that I can do and progress in. I love to learn new things and try to take something new on every once in a while like knitting and cooking. Boo yea.

Jazz, rock, folk, dance-ables, funk, bluegrass! I've been really into Game of Thrones lately, who isn't? As for books, I could use some suggestions. All the books I read are scholarly! Dorky!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Day 3 of trekking, climbing Poon Hill, Nepal at 5 am, sunrise.. 3200 meters into the sky..360 degree view of the sun pushing up the stars over beautiful, stunning mountains in the middle of the Himalayas. Breathtaking-literally!

I can share my floor, conversation, jokes, a few recipes, "Alaskan beer sampling" AKA Bar Hopping by Bicycle, and most likely an extra bicycle! I want to show you Alaska, and I want to learn about who YOU are- it is always exciting to see why people come all the way up north!
