❀ Hello! ❀
I am a nerdy INTJ foodie from Lithuania with Russian/Ukrainian roots, living in the UK since 2014 (with a break in 2019-2021 that I spent in the USA).
Visiting friends was always deep in my family culture, I love the feeling of togetherness people share over a meal or simply tea and sweet treats while visiting each other's homes.
Now hosting together with my American husband Nathanael who I brought to Edinburgh from sunny Colorado, he is in IT, would be up for having a pint at a local pub or talking about anything history or video games.
We both work full time during the week so wont be able to hang out during the day much, but happy to have dinner together with guests either cooking or eating out, and we usually are more flexible on the weekends.
We also have a well-behaved indoor-only 9yo kitty - Furia. Hope you're okay with cats! She's a very chill lady who loves sleeping around the house and occasionally coming around for pets and attention, but only on her terms :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking for some meaningful connections from around the world
Interests
Japanese class on Mondays, choir on Wednesdays, boardgame club sometimes on the weekend and book club once a month. Some of my weeks are busy with activities and work but I try to make time for guests and travelling too 😁
I love good food, as well as trying different teas, making and tasting desserts, and most things Japan related.
Please note that I am not into drinking/clubbing/partying thing if you're here for that :)
More into chill exploring, coffee shops, eating & cooking, cozy activities like board games/movie nights etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to the UK when I was 18, just 2 months after graduating high school. I've never thought about living in another country just ~9 months before the move, then one day decided to become a pastry chef and travel some place new!
Then again, I moved to another continent (the USA) at 23yo, leaving my whole life (but the cat 😺) behind once more, but always wanted to come back to UK (thanks to COVID it took longer lol) and here I am! 😁
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach some words in any language I know (kindly don't ask me for swear words! :D).
As well as we can cook/bake some delicious food and can also recommend some nice places to eat
What I Can Share with Hosts
Share my food/travelling/living abroad experiences, bring snacks and souvenirs and can offer company as I'm a good listener
