ABOUT ME

I hate filling these out- I feel that it limits who I am. Here is my best shot, though...

I am very confident... I know what I like, and that is bread and bleu cheese.

I eagerly await the day I will finish school, go to India, narrowly escape death by malaria, and learn deep insight from wise old men.

I am very open with who I am and what I think. I love to discuss new and old ideas about the world. I meditate shamelessly. And talk about Backgammon gods like they actually exist.

The biggest compliment you can give me is carding me for buying a beer. Its a welcome change to the common assumption that I am a thirty year old lawyer.

I love to read and write, and I'm just beginning to take up painting and sketching. Similar to my interests, my major is Humanities. I study subjects from philosophy to psychology, art to literature, biology to religion. I really just love to learn. Right now I plan to graduate school with a Humanities degree and then attend graduate school for philosophy- however that is very liable to change.

I also love languages, although my talent for speaking is not up to par. One day, though...

I love the outdoors. I hike and camp as often as I can. I've just begun to take up rock climbing as well. I feel most satisfied out in the woods. I really feel like I belong there and that I am welcomed.

PHILOSOPHY

Know nothing and learn everything.

It is a saying that I follow and believe in wholeheartedly: Philosophy: Falling in love doesn't begin with falling in love with others, it begins with falling in love with ourselves. Loving ourselves is healthy. Learn to deeply and fully cherish your heart, your soul and your body because only then will you understand what it is to truly love another.

I am a lover of all things visual... and the only movies that I cannot watch are scary ones.

I love to sing (and especially hum.. mostly when I have nothing on my mind), and listen to jazz or anything classical. I'm very open with my taste, though, so PLEASE share your interests with me!

As for books, I read a lot. Normally I read by genre, but lately I have been jumping around.
