About Me

I am a professor in a Brazilian University. I travel a lot to see art and to lecture.

The idea is very nice and it is handy for people who travel often. It helps to develop links too, which is important.
To host a foreigner is a humanitarian attitude and one of the first to be considered as such in the history of mankind.

Music, Movies, and Books
Rachmaninov, João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Django Reinhart
I am a great fan of Fellini, especially 8 1/2, but I must admit movies are not my thing. I am a "painting" person. As such, I love Rothko, Fra Angelico, Velazquez's Portait of Margarite in Vienna , Manet (everything, + the flower vases), Goya's portrait's of Vallabriga, Constable's cloud studies, the Rembrandts in London's National Gallery, Vermeer, of course, Miró's large canvases....
There are too many books, it is hard to choose just one or two. Nevertheless, I could say I am quite fond of Argentinian Roberto Arlt, Italian Italo Svevo, Fernando Pessoa, Thomas Mann........just so many...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have built two houses, raised two children, and did ten days of Vipassana meditation retreat. I find these three things quite amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I learnt that giving is much better than receiving. And that we should not expect any compensation.
