I'm Renata — originally from Belém, Brazil, and living in Berlin for the past 15 years. I joined the Couchsurfing community when I was 32, and now, at 47, I'm excited to reconnect with my love for travel.

A few years ago, I paused my adventures to focus on raising my two amazing kids. Now that I'm co-parenting and have more flexibility, I'm slowly getting back to exploring the world.

I'm a psychologist with a post-graduate degree in Human Resources. Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel and photography. I truly enjoy the simple things in life — I’m very much a day person. I love waking up early, riding my bike to the lakes, wandering through different neighborhoods, and discovering new places and people.

Nature and animals bring me joy, and I'm always up for a friendly chat or spontaneous adventure. Looking forward to connecting with open-minded, kind, and curious people along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now that my kids are with me half of the time, I finally have space again to travel — something I’ve always loved. I don’t have a big travel budget, but for me, that’s never been the point. Traveling, to me, means connecting with local people, sharing stories, and having real, everyday experiences — not just seeing tourist spots.

I usually spend the whole day out exploring and discovering, so I really just need a safe and friendly place to sleep at night. In return, I’d love to host when I’m in Berlin — I have a cozy space and enjoy meeting travelers from around the world.
