Hi! My name is Ren, I'm 26 years old and just quit my job as a civil engineer in downtown Toronto. Now I'm trying to explore Canada(my home!) as much as possible before moving to Australia, in September 2016! I lived there for a year and loved the work life balance and outdoor lifestyle.

I am excited about all the things I will learn from other people, and am up for many new experiences in the future!

I enjoy getting to know the culture and people of an area. I feel like couchsurfing is a great way to do that!

While in Australia, my roommates and I hosted couchsurfers on occasion. We like to have that time mostly free while we are hosting so we can show them around and get to know each other.

I hope to have accommodation soon where I can do some more hosting!

Intereses

I love the board sports. The warm weather in Australia allowed me to learn how to skateboard and how to surf. I was in the water almost every day! I'm missing snowboarding, and hope to hit up the south island of New Zealand or Japan soon.

I'm also interested in real estate. I have not made my way into it yet but hope to in the next year or so. In my last civil engineering job I worked in land development and was able to get a taste for what is involved in the land development process.

Living on an aboriginal reserve in the French speaking part of Northern Canada in the middle of nowhere.

Getting to know these beautiful people, seeing past media and stereotypes. Watching the northern lights while I was there.
