ABOUT ME

My name is Renate and I am a young native of one of the smallest countries in the world; The Netherlands. Though, my interest and affinity for inter countries and people with a multi-cultural background can be described as huge. From a young age on my interest got internationalized quickly as I travelled on a regular basis with my family and friends, whom I value a lot. Most of the times my travels got characterized by sporty and adventurous activities; from skiing in the European Alps to a six months backpacking travel from New Zeeland back to The Netherlands crossing over five countries.
People around me describe me as a very social, energetic, warm hearted and enthusiastic person which doesn’t fear to take initiative. These personal characteristics I will bring along with me in my backpack in great amounts to share with all of you out there in the world of couchsurfing.
