Fight climate change. Learn. Love. Travel
I am Renato, living in Porto after 3- years in the UK, some months travelling and 7 months in Brussels. I want to do something about our beautiful planet but it's not easy to do something meaningful, so always trying to figure out what to do next.
I try to see the world from different perspectives... There are so many beautiful things to experience! That is why CS is important for me. Because it is full of people that are ALIVE! The less people have, the more they share, the less fearful they are.
Living a simple life, even if I have money enough to buy comfort, helps me keeping in touch with reality and appreciating good things when they come my way. It helps me being more humble and closer to how most people in the planet live. There is no yin without its yang. Life is full of contradiction, so we might as well embrace it
I have a contrarian approach to life. If everyone does something, it does not mean it is a good idea...
Wish nothing and you will have found enlightment.

Teach, Learn, Share
Everything we do uses energy. Most of that energy comes from extremely dirty sources, which cause climate change. Renewables can maybe provide 20-30% of the energy needs of most rich countries. Even this will be hard to achieve. We need something else and we need a lot of it. There are no easy solutions.
One day I hope to tour CS events giving talks about this to people who want to listen :) Read some chapters of Sustainable Energy Without the Hot Air and you will know more about Energy than most politcians, journalists and environmentalists
I want to learn... everything I can!
