Hi My name is Renee. I have spent most of my life as a nomad. I have now settled back to Perth, Western Australia where I was born to turn my passion into to a business. I have a 5 year old daughter who is also well traveled, half Indonesian. She has just started school, and loving it. We are both very adventurous, love music, travel and the outdoors. I am a Permaculture consultant and workshop facilitator.

We are an urban intentional community of 4 houses, side by side, we have taken down the fences so we share the space, live and work together to support each other, but we also have our own projects and jobs. There are 7 Permanent residence and each of the houses is off the grid (basic limited 12v power, limited rain water and composting toilets) focused towards lowering our impact on the planet. We also support the everyday functions of the community center across the road. We constantly have many different projects on the go. These projects are permaculture, organic food production, waste management, composting, aquaponics, bee keeping, general keeping up with off the grid living, general maintenance, natural building, craft, art, decor, cooking, child minding and so much more.

Living here you will be welcomed into a functioning urban community

Some of the highlights of being apart of this project are on Mondays and Wednesdays we run a buffet vegan soup kitchen for the community with open fires and jam sessions. We also run 4 music festivals a year which we love help with.

The community is located about a 5min bike ride to the center of Fremantle. 

Fremantle is a coastal town just 30 minutes from Perth City. Fremantle has long been renowned for its eclectic mix of arty and alternative types. Fremantle's streets buzz with the song of buskers, the side walks fill with a wild collection of art and music floats out from trendy cafés and bars.

We are looking for community minded people. 
People with experience in the fields mentioned above, would be great. 
We have helpx also and our arrangment is - 3 hours help a day, gets you basic accommodation (room / shed of your own) and basic staple foods (to cook your self) 
Minimum 2 week stay, 1 week trial. Long term stay also possible
