Dr. René Faruk Garzozi Pincay is an Ecuadorian academic, researcher, and university administrator with extensive experience in higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Managerial Administration from Universidad Benito Juárez (Mexico), an MBA from Universidad Andrés Bello (Chile), and a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a specialization in Business Management from ESPOL (Ecuador).

He is currently a tenured professor at Universidad Estatal Península de Santa Elena (UPSE), where he teaches in undergraduate and graduate programs across disciplines such as Economics, Social and Development Management, and Business Administration. His teaching focuses on courses including Research Methodology, Statistics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Social Theories, and Human Resource Management. He has also supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate theses.

His academic career spans prestigious institutions including Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial (UTE), where he served as Vice Chancellor for the Santa Elena campus, overseeing academic planning and institutional development. He has also taught at Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), Universidad Benito Juárez (Mexico), Universidad de Guayaquil, Universidad Tecnológica Empresarial de Guayaquil (UTEG), and military academies such as the Ecuadorian Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy Cosme Rennella.

As an accredited researcher by SENESCYT, Dr. Garzozi has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and other international databases. He has authored and co-authored more than twenty books and book chapters on topics including local development, public policy, entrepreneurship, and knowledge management. He actively contributes as a reviewer and editorial board member for several international scientific journals and academic conferences.
