Hey, guys! I am Rene, 32 years old and an Industrial Engineer from Leipzig, Germany. Furthermore I am a volunteer in the exchange organisation IAESTE. It's an organisation for payed interships worldwide. So I know how to deal with people from other countries and I also know how it is to live in a foreign country because I worked/studied already in Brazil, Spain and Mexico and currently in USA.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love it to travel! When I was living in Brazil I was always sooo happy and grateful when some volunteers organized some places for me to stay for free. Since that I got more open-minded because I know how it feels!

Interests

I like to host especially people from other countries for learning new things about other cultures, to practice my language skills (especially spanish (B1) and portugues (A1). Furthermore I speak quit good english (B2), but of course I have to practice it as well because usually it is in my life in Leipzig not necessary to speak English. So, it would be also great to speak english with some guys of you. But of course german speakers are welcome as well! :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My intership times in Mexico & Brazil and my semester abroad in Spain because I learned how Mexicans, Brazilians and Spanish’s live typically. The point is if you are just in vacation for 1-2 weeks you are usually just in tourists areas where you haven't so much contact to natives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to speak fluently Spanish in 1 year! Also I would like to communicate in Portuguese soon. If you are interested in learning german, I can help you as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In general the main point of my offer is that you have a place to stay in my flat. That's important! If you would like to spend the time in Leipzig for your own or with your friends, it's fine! Don't worry. Otherwise if you would like to have somebody who can show you the city a little bit, I would like to help you and spend some time with you if it’s possible for me. :-)
