Hello! My name is Renee. I am 5'11'' half Korean (on my mom's side) and half white (on my dad's side). My dad was Airforce, so I hopped around a little bit, but mostly grew up in Hawaii and Maryland. I moved to Richmond, Virginia for school (VCU) and then ended up staying for work (I am a Nurse at VCU Medical Center).

I am new to couch surfing, but I heard about it through a friend and thought it might be interesting to learn more about. I usually use Airbnb, but I will be on a more modest budget during this vacation. I would love to just have a low-key vacation and learn about a place from more of a local viewpoint, rather than tourist (although tourist attractions are fun sometimes too). I am always open to making new friends and meeting new people and I am easy to get along with.

**Currently residing in Richmond, VA, but I am in the process of transitioning to Portland, Oregon (at the end of March 2017) to be with my older sister. I have a lot of paid time off with my current job, so I am using it all up in the month of February 2017 and would love to go someplace new!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My all-time favorite kind of music would have to be the old-time crooners, jazz, and swing type music. However, I do listen to a wide variety of tunes, including pop, hiphop, indie, and some of the more mainstream music with the catchy choruses. I tend to steer away from heavy metal, screamo, hard rock, or country music.

My favorite movies are usually the ones that make you really think, but I also like romantic or fantasy/action/comic movies.

Listing some movies I enjoy: Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Fight Club, A Beautiful Mind, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Green Mile, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams, Forrest Gump, Clockwork Orange, Big Fish, 50 First Dates, The Notebook, 27 Dresses, Bridesmaids, Hors De Prix, Black Swan, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Memento, Guardians of the Galaxy, Lord of The Rings Series ....

Childhood favorite was Thumbelina.

Shows I watch are: The Office, Game of Thrones, Anime, Once upon a Time, ...

I don't read books all that often, but I did finish Christopher Paolini's The Inheritance Cycle (Eragon series). I tend to like fiction/fantasy series the best. I read some self help books too from time to time. Currently reading the Magician series, An Unquiet Mind, and the Happiness Trap.

I dabble in Ukulele and love to sing :)
I hike, camp, kayak, bike, play pool, do artsy things.
I love riddles, brain-teasers, sudokus and cryptograms.
I can teach you a lot of different card games and board games.
I can teach you at least 5 different ways to throw a Frisbee.
