ABOUT ME

At the tender age of 10 I already knew I never wanted to stay in Chicago (TO COLD). As a teenager I was watching Elvis Presley's BLUE HAWAII, movie, while there was a snow storm outside and I said "That's where I want to live". I've now lived in Hawaii most of my life and have never regretted a minute.

PHILOSOPHY

The older you get the shorter life is and I've never kept hoping to travel--I've done it. I've pretty much have been all over the world including all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. I won't stop till I'm 6 foot under!!!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whenever I travel outside the U.S. I use Hospitality Club and C.S. to meet new people. Usually I'm on a cruise and it works out perfect for people to meet me at the dock and spend the day exploring their city and enjoying a homemade picnic lunch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I'm new (this year 09) to C.S. I haven't hosted anyone but have hosted many Hospitality Club members. I will be meeting 4 new people in South America this month (Feb. and March) on my 14 day cruise around S.A.

Interests

Photography, hikes, visiting new areas, meeting new people, museums, fairs and festivals. I totally enjoy trying all of the new foods and menus on the cruise ships. I volunteer at 6 different live theaters here locally on Oahu. When I traveling in the U.S. I volunteer (usher) at the local theaters where I'm visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I see over 25 concerts, plays etc. a year as an usher-that satifies my love for this type of entertainment without costing me anything except my time--which I'm more than happy to give.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hot Air Ballooning in New Mexico. Donkey ride in Molokai up and down the side cliffs of a mountain. Living in Europe for a year in a V.W. camper. Being on The Isle of Wight in 1970, England for the best 3 day concert I've ever experienced in my whole life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work with children with my part-time job and you never stop teaching, learning and sharing. To bad most adults don't keep it up like children do. When I find someone that has these great characteristics we become good friends.
