Hello World,
as stated above my name is René and I'm from Cologne. (More accurately from Rösrath, a small town next to and mainly dependent on Cologne. It's only known regionally for good drinking water quality and high crime rates and it takes to much time to tell all this to every new person I meet, so I normally leave it out.)
I'm a student and currently approaching the final stretch of my degree program Business Administration and Engineering.
Contrasting the theoretical business-things and the nerdy engineering topics I like good entertainment in my free time: music, good food, people, sports, architecture, movies, tv-shows, museums and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some time ago a friend took me on a short trip and organized our accommodation with Couchsurfing. I was surprised our host didn't just offer a place to sleep, but also gave us helpful advices for our tours and shared with us his way of life and "inside views", we would have never found with any conventional travel-guide. That was when I thought: That's one of the things the internet is good for.
So I signed up and here I am to share the good experience and make some more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm optimistic-realistic, which means I'm really good at encouraging people (including myself) to just try things but preventing them from the big mistakes with a quite good survival instinct. Most of the time people succeed. If not, I'm good at keeping the mood up and looking for the positiv things. With that in mind:
-cooking
-baking
-repairing electronics or other technical things
-some more, but I don't want to make this look like a job application.
