ABOUT ME

Patient, uncomplicated, tolerant but politically incorrect, hopefully humorous and open-minded. I like to enjoy the many different facets of life. Sometimes I want to go running for two hours, sometimes I am just lazy all day, eating tasty food. I can enjoy profound conversations and writing scholarly texts but sometimes I also just want to have some beers and listen to some good old punk rock.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a number of surfers in Vienna but the interest in surfing in Karlsruhe is rather low ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a number of surfers when I lived in Vienna and I got to know the local CS community a bit. I was couchsurfing myself in Amsterdam, Russia, Germany and Hungary. 99,9% awesome experiences! Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for the project has decreased a bit since it got commercialized.

I also love to get to know other styles and having profound conversations with everybody who truely cares about music is always a pleasure.

Movies
Good dramas (e.g. American Beauty, Into the Wild, The Lives of Others), mafia classics (e.g. The Godfather, Heat, Goodfellas, Scarface, Sopranos), weird stuff (e.g. Fight Club, Being John Malkovich), of course Tarantino and good variations of his style (Snatch, In China They Eat Dogs, Bang Boom Bang) aaaaand last but not least: zombie movies (Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Braindead...).

Books
I read a lot for my work (non-fictional books with a focus on Internet & society) so my interest in reading non-fiction has unfortunately declined a bit.

Hitch-hiking through whole Norway, seeing the midnight sun from a remote fjord.

Walking around in a penguin colony and watching whales in Argentina.

Experiencing perfect open-air performances by Sigur Ros and The National in Vienna´s Arena.
