Overview
About Me
Exploring the wonders of the world is something I deeply aspire to—it’s about more than just visiting famous landmarks or ticking destinations off a list. For me, it means immersing myself in different cultures, understanding the stories behind ancient ruins, walking through unfamiliar streets filled with local life, and witnessing the beauty of natural landscapes that take your breath away. Whether it’s standing in awe beneath a centuries-old temple, tasting authentic street food in a bustling market, hiking to a remote viewpoint, or simply watching a sunset in a new part of the world, these moments spark a sense of awe, connection, and perspective that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Though my current schedule hasn’t allowed me to travel as much as I’d like, I hold a strong desire to gradually uncover the beauty and diversity this world has to offer—one place, one experience at a time. Until then, I stay curious, inspired, and always open to hearing others’ travel stories, learning about new destinations, and collecting ideas for the journeys ahead.
ABOUT ME
I’m from the Philippines, proudly born and raised in Cebu City—a place rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. I’ve always been adventurous, especially when it comes to things that offer growth, new knowledge, or meaningful experiences. Whether it’s trying something unfamiliar, diving into a new hobby, or stepping out of my comfort zone, I’m naturally drawn to anything that sparks curiosity and personal development.
Recently, I’ve developed a deep interest in traveling. I’m excited about the idea of exploring the world—not just to see new places, but to truly experience them. I want to meet people from different walks of life, hear their stories, learn about their cultures, and see the world through perspectives far different from my own. There’s something incredibly inspiring about connecting with others who live and dream in ways I’ve never imagined. Traveling, for me, isn’t just about adventure—it’s about learning, growing, and finding joy in the diversity and richness of life.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in living life with joy, gratitude, and an open heart. Hakuna Matata—no worries—perfectly captures the mindset I strive for every day. Life may not always be easy, but choosing happiness, embracing the moment, and letting go of unnecessary stress makes the journey so much more meaningful. Whether I’m exploring new places, learning something new, or just enjoying the simple things, I try to live fully and lightheartedly. After all, happiness isn’t just a destination—it’s a way of living.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting fellow Couchsurfers can have a powerful impact on one’s travel journey, offering unique opportunities to learn from diverse personal experiences. People who have traveled extensively tend to be some of the kindest and most interesting companions—they’ve walked different paths and faced various challenges that shape their character and worldview. These journeys help mold who they are today, making their stories invaluable lessons for others.
I truly believe that learning from others’ experiences is one of the best ways to grow, especially in the world of travel. I’m excited and eager to hear a wide variety of stories from all corners of the globe. It’s been quite a while since I was active here, but now I’m back and ready to reconnect, share, and learn.
Interests
I love sharing and learning about culture, lifestyles, and the countless unique experiences that shape people’s lives around the world. For me, travel isn’t just about visiting places—it’s about connecting with the people, embracing the adventure, and having fun along the way. Each journey brings new stories, fresh perspectives, and unforgettable moments that enrich my understanding of the world. Whether it’s exploring local traditions, trying new foods, or diving into spontaneous adventures, I’m always eager to discover and celebrate the diversity that makes life so vibrant and exciting.
Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music and movies, I don’t really have a specific favorite genre—I’m pretty open and love to enjoy whatever’s playing. Just put it on, and I’ll soak in every beat or scene. I might even break out into a little dance or sing along—hehehe! But when it comes to books, I’m really drawn to self-help and personal growth. I enjoy spending time reading things that inspire me to learn, grow, and become a better version of myself.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I enjoy staying active and adventurous—playing badminton and volleyball keeps me energized and connected with friends. One of my most unforgettable experiences was swimming alongside the majestic whale sharks in the Philippines, a breathtaking encounter that truly humbled me. I’ve also taken the exhilarating leap off Macao Tower, pushing my limits and embracing the thrill of the moment. On a more challenging note, I’ve almost reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, an experience that tested my endurance and deepened my appreciation for nature’s grandeur. Each adventure fuels my passion for exploring and living life to the fullest.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy cooking in my own unique style and would love to share some of my favorite tricks and recipes with you. Cooking for me is a creative and fun way to unwind, and I’m always open to learning new techniques and flavors from others too. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert in the kitchen, I’m excited to swap tips and discover new culinary ideas together!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m excited to share not just my personal travel stories, but also the lessons and insights I’ve gathered through my life and professional journey. Traveling has taught me so much about different cultures, resilience, and the beauty of human connection, and I love reflecting on these experiences with others. Beyond stories, I can also introduce you to the flavors and traditions of my own culture through the food I prepare—there’s something truly special about sharing a meal that tells a story.
In addition, I’d be happy to show you around my hometown or favorite local spots, giving you a more authentic sense of the place I call home. Whether it’s a hidden gem in the neighborhood, a scenic view, or a cozy cafe, these places hold meaning for me and offer a glimpse into my daily life. Sharing these aspects—the travel, the life lessons, the food, and the local places—is my way of connecting and creating memorable experiences together.
