ABOUT ME

As a Dutchman living in Belgium, I must be open for other cultures, right? :) Of course, I like to travel, especially making roadtrips. And being an architect, I love wandering through cities, visiting special buildings but even more visiting characteristic neighbourhoods with their own urban life.
And most important of all, travelling is a perfect way to spend great time with my friends, and making new friends!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When travelling through Russia together with a friend, she persuaded me to go couchsurfing. Must admit that I was quite sceptical, but this disappeared immediately after meeting our first hosts. After this, we have been couchsurfing in allmost all of the cities we visited. It brought us all kind of adventures, like camping on an 'wild' island on the siberian rivers, building a library in a remote town in the middle of the mongolian plains, climbing abondened institute buildings, etc. And it made it even possible to loose my passport and getting it back 1200 km further on. :) All thanks to our CS-friends!
