I never really know what to say in these but I'm from Canada and I'm currently on my first backpacking trip. Did a bit of SE Asia and I'm about to start my working holiday in Australia.

I left for my trip to gain new perspectives in life and to immerse myself in different cultures. Before I left on my trip I was on that "normal" path in life, (go to school, get a job) but I found that to be very dull and I felt like I needed something more in life. So I left school, and left in September and I haven't looked back since. During this trip I've learned so many things that school doesn't teach you and I truly feel that what I'm doing is the best thing for me to do.

Im a very open minded and easy going person and I believe the best conversations are made with good food and a beer. I like to be adventurous and active and I'm willing to try anything at least once. I also love being outdoors and going on hikes and camping. I'm really into photography so if you have any tips and tricks to share that would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like this is the perfect way to get to know locals and fully immerse myself in different ways of living and to gain new perspectives. I would also like to feel that "home" atmosphere that I've been missing since I left for my trip and it would be nice if I were able to make life long friends through this.

- Drove a scooter for the first time in Thailand
- Volunteered to fight in a kickboxing match

Got over my fear of heights by jumping off a cliff and bungee jumping off a bridge.
