My name is Reuben King, I come from a large family with 8 other brothers and sisters (I'm the eldest). I play many sports including boxing and rugby and just love to push myself to the limits and out of my comfort zone to see what I can do. I am very friendly and love to meet people of all kinds in situations wherever, I will always lend a helping hand and I have never met a person I cannot get along with.

I am on couchsurfing because I want to meet locals and people in areas I am visiting, its very well staying in backpackers but there is only really one type of person who stays there... -backpackers! I want to meet people who have an authentic view on their home regions and get to know people all over the world from all sorts of backgrounds, what better way to meet them than at their own homes! (With their permission of course).

I am interested in generally everything and anything (except shopping). I jump at the opportunity to try new things and will give everything a go. Some of the things which I like to do include fishing, shooting, cycling, swimming, tramping, climbing, riding motorbikes, playing the guitar, reading and more. One of my biggest interests is meeting and getting to know people and see how they think and what they have to say, I find it fascinating to see how individuals perceive things differently.

My favourite song of all time is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Other than that my taste in music is quite broad, I like anything at all that has a good acoustic guitar riff present as well as all sorts of songs right through the genres. A few of my favourite artists are Bob Marley, jack Johnson and iron maiden but I tend to pick my music by the song. I don't watch a lot of television but my favourite movie is lock stock and two smoking barrels. I love to read and enjoy fantasy, my favourite books is those out of the belgariod series by David Eddings.

I wouldn't call anything I have done exceptionally amazing but one of my big challenges to date is cycling from hawkes bay of New Zealand to Christchurch with a distance of about 600km in the winter.

I can unreservedly share with hosts my knowledge wherever applicable. I will help out wherever I can and am a good physical worker, I could help with anything from doing the dishes to weeding the garden and will do it with good humour. I am told that I am good company and easy to get along with and if you permit am likely to stay up into the late hours of the night talking with you.
