Hello there! I am an introverted yet friendly person. I am ethnically Indian (my grandparents were born in Southern India) but was born and brought up in Singapore! I love to travel and have been around South East Asia quite a bit. Looking to extend that further within the next few years.

I was following the academic route until 2 years ago when i decided to drop it all to pursue a career in my new love, pastry! Enjoying every bit of that. I like to cook, but im very much a amateur. I envy the skills my mother and grandmothers have. People who cook for me have a very special place in my heart!

I have been a vegetarian for more than 15 years. I love animals and the environment as well as beauty, peace and calm this lifestyle brings to my life.

All in all, i am still figuring myself out and would love to meet new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to try something i have never thought i would ever do. An experience that i hope will change me as well as allow me to learn about other cultures and share mine with others.

I believe the best way to truly experience a country and its culture is through a local.
I have yet to couch surf or host so far, but i have stayed with friends and relatives overseas. These experiences were far better than trips where i stayed at hotels and followed tour groups. This would be my first true experience here and i am eagerly looking forward to meeting new people and making a ton of friends!

Interests

Reading a ton of books, huge Potterhead, music, the occasional travelling, looking after my 3 legged hamster (he's a survivor with his own life story), movies (English, Indian Korean, Japanese, French, having to read subtitles makes movies all the more enjoyable for me)

My personality, my culture, food, stories and experiences. I can cook or share recipes, especially dessert, but when it comes to savoury food, please be kind, im very new at this. We could watch some Asian movies together too!
