Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's my first time using CS, so no CS experience, but I've got LOADS of hosting and being hosted experiences.

Places I've been hosted in, in Chronological order:
Iran: In a million different places, don't even remember :P
Italy: Various times, mostly friends or friends of friends
Czech Republic, Prague: Hosted by a friend of a friend for 4 days
Thailand: hosted by a Thai family for a week
Hungary: hosted for 1 week in Kecskemét
Japan:
- 2 weeks in Tokyo
- 2 weeks in Yokohama
China: Lived with a Chinese family for 3 months during summer 2011, and 1 month during Easter 2012.

I have hosted in:
Italy: Friuli province, several times for long and short stays
UK: York, several times for a few days
Always willing to host when able to.

Interests

I find pretty much everything interesting.

Languages: Probably my greatest interest.
Photography: I have a Nikon D90. Love going out just to seek a meaningful shot. Unfortunately, due studies and other things, I didn't have enough time to dedicate to picture seeking and editing. I've uploaded some nice pictures of when I went to Japan.
Tennis: Have been playing for 8 years or more, but not constantly. My current level is Okish, I get quite good with some intensive training.
Economics/Politics: My field of studies. But no worries, I don't bother people who are not interested :P
Environmental sustainability: I've been involved and organized several related projects and initiatives.
