About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to proof that the world is a disk after all

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Lukas,
Until recently I studied Sinology and Philosophy in Vienna, which tells you that I like a) philosophy and b) Asia. c) I'm a writer and d) I love nature, especially mountains. Fortunately we have some mountains in Austria, but who would want to stay here forever?! Therefore: e) I travel whenever I have time and money. I'm also interested in all kinds of different topics, mostly weird stuff like beetles or microbes, everything extraordinary... Except beetles my favorite animal is cow. If you ever had to herd cattle in the Alps, you will understand why I find these animals undisputably awesome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some Parkbench-experiences, some Sleeping-in-the-Woods-experiences, some not-sleeping-at-all-because-couldn't-find/afford-a-place-to-sleep-experiences, but NO couchsurfing experiences. Now i'm here to change that.

Interests

I'm a big fan of all kinds of adventures, hiking-trips, spending the night under the stars... Thus nature is really important to me, especially mountains. I'm drawn to isolate, empty, void places, like deserts or high-mountains.
When with people I like discussing interesting topics, hearing their opinions, about their world-view, their beliefs...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Philosophy with an emphasis on Friedrich Nietzsche as well as Daoist thinkers Laozi and Zhuangzi. Although I'm not sure if my English is sufficient to complete this task.
Additionally I can intruduce you into the unique world of beetle-philosophy (if you're mad enough to ask me about it).
