About Me

I am content doing pretty much anything but I prefer being outside. I can be shy at times but don't let that fool you! I'm a kid on the inside!

I'm an outdoorsy person for sure. I love camping, hiking, horse back riding, skiing backpacking, canoeing, and photosynthesizing. Pretty much anything outside.

My hope is to become a traveling physical therapist so I can do a job I LOVE while still seeing the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't actually used couch surfing yet but I have more travelling in my future. Staying in hostels is cool and you meet people from literally everywhere but locals know the area and make you feel more a part of the country rather than a tourist there. I'd love to meet locals and really delve into the country I'm visiting.

If I can, I would love to host travelers too!!

Interests

In my free time I like to play guitar, hang with friends, explore outside, spend time with my pony, pinterest... The list goes on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the movies L'Auburge Espagnole and Eat Pray Love. They both make me want to travel more and appreciate that even though people live in such different places and come from such different backgrounds, we are all the same in so many ways.

I also like Hunger Games, X-men, Journey to the center of the earth, the Hobbit, and I think I've watched Avatar enough times for it to count as my favorite. They make me feel adventurous and I love the mix of sci-fi-naturey goodness.

I'm not much of a reader (sadly). It's a part of me I'm just starting to really develop. So far I've found two series I absolutely could not put down -the Hunger Games (classic I know) and Lisa Kleypas's Friday Harbor series.

As for Music, I pretty much will listen to anything but metal and rap. I tend to listen to artists like Sara Bareillas, Yael Naim, Ingrid Michaelson, Natasha Bedingfield. And I'm currently on the lookout for more interesting sounds or artists like Ben Howard, Passenger, Ed Sheeran, the Oh Hellos... I also enjoy a mixture of oldies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied/lived in Australia for six months on my own including four weeks in Zealand, and road tripped the USA with some friends for six weeks (all experiences I recommend)!!!

I caught the travel bug and I can't wait to travel more!

Teach, Learn, Share

Favorite fact: most animals have regional accents! It's the coolest thing!

I'd love to learn about the local culture. I think it's important to be open to different views and ways of life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A hiking/ adventure buddy and a respectful/helpful guest. I'm also content exploring on my own if the host is busy but I would most enjoy company
