About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To escape the cruelties of 9-5
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Swansea, I am accustomed to a view of the ocean each and every day. I have been following my career of marketing and creativity for the last few years, working hard and enjoying the benefits of doing so. I am now looking to follow my passion (for a change)...travelling, meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and documenting each visit. I hope to pick up new experiences and skills along the way... as well as work in jobs I would never consider myself doing. It's about time this mind became broadened!
PHILOSOPHY
Travel should not be an escape. It should be part of your life, no better or no worse than the rest of your life. If you are so dissatisfied with what you do or where you live that you spend weeks and months figuring out how to get a few days away from either, that should be a wake-up call. There’s a big difference between *wanting* a change in scenery and *needing* to run away from a prison of your own making.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't want to call it 'travel'. I'd rather it be known as living my life in interesting places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Zero so far - I'm a newbie!
Interests
I'm great at Online Marketing. It's what I have been doing for the last few years and have quadrupled profit for companies I have worked for. I love talking people through how they could improve their website to make more sales - it's not as hard as it seems!
Food and beer. I LOVE LOVE trying new foods. This is why I have to be a gym nut (see below). I'm not a party animal when it comes to drinking, I'm easily tempted by a night out just as much as a social glass of red wine.
Fitness and sport. OK I'm a bit of an obsessive gym addict - but it's something I enjoy. I usually do circuit classes twice a week, perfect for a workout and lots of people to chat to (if you can manage it!), as well as Yoga once a week. I'm an excellent golfer, mediocre tennis player and terrible badminton player.
Travelling. Well it's an obvious one isn't it. I want to see as much of the world as I can and meet new people. I want to experience it rather than look at the pictures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Released newly hatched baby green turtles back into the sea in the middle of the night. Watching them all scamper towards the sea in the moonlight was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I share:
Have a website and want to improve anything on it - sales / visits / time on site / form sign ups / conversion rates? It's my field of expertise and I love talking about it.
Fitness, health and sport. I have a knack of being good at most things sporty, and have good knowledge of health and fitness that is borderline obsessive. I love helping people achieve their goals. In terms of sport, I can play golf, tennis, surf, football, rugby, volleyball (it goes on...).
I am a decent photographer / a whizz on computers and a lot of people tell me I seem to know a website for almost anything!
What I'd love to learn:
I love food but I wouldn't classify myself as a great cook, so this is something I'd love to learn more of.
Genuinely love learning anything new, from life skills, business knowledge, a new word in a language anything!
