ABOUT ME

My friends generally know me as a thoughtful and engaging person, who is usually up for an adventure! I love having unique and interesting experiences of different places, from just chilling out in living rooms, to playing board games, hiking and climbing, discussing anything from perfume to politics. I love learning about the world and everything in it - especially how things work! I love having fun and doing things that are a little bit daring, but I'm also easily tempted into a lazy day of sitting around over food and just watching the world pass by. I'm extremely open-minded and liberal, I like the idea of challenging existing ways of behaving, both on a personal and a community and cultural level. However I also have a strong belief in right and wrong, and am always looking for a way to add a little bit of kindness and beauty to the world and the people around me!

I have a huge number of interests and hobbies, and I love to learn about pretty much absolutely everything, although I appreciate simple explanations of technical subjects! I find the way that different people view the world and their environment fascinating, and love hearing all about their lives and thoughts :). I spend my time reading. A LOT. I also write a fair bit, from my thoughts to fictional novels. When I am hanging out I generally like small gatherings, particularly board games and LAN/console gaming, but I also really enjoy just chilling out with food and great company. Occasionally I love hitting up the town on a crazy night out.

Sleeping under the stars in the White Desert in Egypt, Standing before the Treasury in Petra, and watching dawn rise over the crater rim of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, as we made our way to Uhuru Peak!
