Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Riana Tifani. I’m the school principal that runs a bilingual school in Indonesia.
I’m passionate about education, cultural exchange, and creating meaningful learning experiences for young people.
As someone who works closely with students every day, I love meeting people from different countries and bringing the world into our school environment. Hosting guests allows me to connect with new cultures and give my students the chance to practice English naturally with real people from around the world.
I’m friendly, open-minded, warm, and very excited to welcome new friends into our school and provide room for tourists at my home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing to connect with kind, open-minded travelers who believe in the power of cultural exchange.
As a school leader, I see how meaningful it is for children to meet people from around the world — it inspires them, opens their minds, and motivates them to learn English with joy.
By hosting guests, I hope to build friendships, share Indonesian hospitality, and provide a space where you can experience our culture while contributing positively to our school community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Acoustic, classical, chill indie, anything relaxing.
Books: Education, leadership, personal development, children’s literature.
Movies: Drama, feel-good films, documentaries, and inspiring stories based on real life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching our students confidently communicate in two languages — especially after interacting with guests from different countries — is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced.
Seeing their excitement and growth reminds me why I love what I do.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can share insights about Indonesian culture, bilingual education, nonprofit leadership, and how we run community-based programs for students.
Learn:
I love learning about your country, language, lifestyle, values, and anything unique about your culture.
Share:
Guests are welcome to visit our bilingual school, meet our students, join classes, or simply have conversations with them. It’s a wonderful exchange — the kids learn from you, and you might learn something from them too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories and insights from my work leading a bilingual educational foundation in Indonesia, including how we support children through community-based learning. I enjoy exchanging perspectives about culture, education, leadership, and everyday life.
I can also share Indonesian traditions, local food recommendations, and simple language lessons (English or Indonesian). If you’re interested, I’m happy to talk about the projects we run at our school and the experiences we’ve had welcoming international guests.
Most of all, I can share meaningful conversations, kindness, and a genuine cultural exchange. I truly believe every person brings a unique story, and I appreciate learning from each guest I meet.
