About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find new, more and better friends, locally and beyond

ABOUT ME

1) Mother of 2 sons--my finest achievement to date--now 19 and 21.

2) Divorced. 22 yrs of marriage was hardly a failure.
3) Legendary laugh
4) Writing a children's fairy tale, curiously about a fairy.
5) Lived 4 of 10 years abroad with husband and sons: 1 yr in Kiev, Ukraine; 2 years in B. Aires and 1 yr, San Jose, C. Rica. Of these, KIEV was the most engaging, C. Rica the most enriching, B. Aires the most invigorating.
Love all animals, my garden, anything linguistic, design, doing art, time with quality friends, movies (mostly old ones), historical fiction, the Plains, camping, martinis.
Very afraid of deep and dark: that is, rivers, lakes and oceans. Can tolerate star-gazing only up to 5 mins. Can be on Facebook no more than 5 mins.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind, be real, be patient, be honest, be useful, don't gloat, strive.

Too numerous to mention.
Favorite movie 1999: American Beauty
Favorite Movie 2010: Social Network

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A sloth being lifted and carried across a remote C. Rican highway by a collection of drivers who felt sorry for it.

Teach, Learn, Share

There's something to learn from everyone, and something to teach everyone. Life seems to guide me to what I need to teach, what I need to ask and learn.
