About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To ride my motorbike over to Australia from the UK

PHILOSOPHY

Any perception can connect us to reality properly and fully. What we see doesn't have to be particularly pretty; we can appreciate anything that exists. There is some principle of magic in everything, some living quality, something real, is taking place in everything.

I also believe compassion is the basis of all morality, what do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other?

I've been on my personal journey for 31 years and through the years have learned a little bit about a lot of things, but the thing I've learned best is, I still know next to nothing. This realization helps me keep my mind open to new ideas and experiences, it also keeps a little magic in my world

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only just joined the site and am currently travelling, but I'm happy to help anyone I stay with around the house, teach them flow arts, generally bring smiles and hopefully be able to offer a couch when I settle again

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not done any couch surfing other than with friends so far, wherever I've travelled I've found a place to live pretty quickly, stayed in hostels, my old van or a tent. However I'm really looking forward to having some amazing experience with some of you lovely people :)

Interests

I'm happiest when I'm learning new things.
I love to travel, experiencing different cultures,
I love circus and dance, creating my own juggling equipment to perform wherever I go, making things whether they are functional or artistic, extreme sports (though sadly haven't done many) and well... Loads of other things like reading, films, music, motorbikes, socializing, smiling... the list goes on :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow, that's a difficult question...

I sat outside one evening as a teenager for about 30 minutes watching the sky as a fantastic electrical storm went on directly above me. There was no rain or wind at the time, just the lightening and thunder from all directions. Being in the eye of that storm was pretty amazing!

Another time in my life I was driving down the road on a very wet day. Due to the position of the sun and the spray from the road each wheel of the lorry to my left had a little rainbow coming out from it and amazingly, there was also one coming straight out from my bonnet and over to the right up behind me! This was made slightly more stunning due to the spay around the rainbows ACTUALLY looked golden yellow! It was a stunning, once in a million lifetimes experience for me and the friend I was driving home (and I guess anyone else that was driving on that road at that time)!!

I also remember when I arrived in Australia, the whole country had me in awe! It is stunning, so vast! Just seeing that many miles of forests and beaches, the different stars, all the different species of animals and plants. I LOVED it!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been very active over the years, picked up quite a few skills I'd be happy to teach anyone I meet along my journey and share whatever I have (within reason) ;) as you can tell from the repetition I seem to be putting throughout my profile (Sorry :S ) I'm very happy to learn anything that could be useful or fun in life! :D
