ABOUT ME

We are a couple of down to earth people who like to travel, meet people, and try new things!

PHILOSOPHY

In my earlier work a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, I have seen how accidental and fragile life can be. It sounds cheesy, but live every day to its fullest and love as much as you can, because you never know what's going to happen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In our Peace Corps experiences and other travels, we have always met people who are generous and friendly. The invitations to sleep on their couchs always make the trip a little more interesting and opens a door to the local culture that is often missed while being a tourist.

Interessi

Books, music, sports (volleyball, soccer, running), kayaking, and a whole lot more.

Musica, film e libri

Rich likes old school rap (Beastie Boys) and electronica. Joan likes blues, Lyle Lovett, and the BoDeans. Sci-Fi movies are best. Books - any books (need more time!)

Rich: A night-time scuba dive on a reef in Fij. It was like being in outer space with glowing aliens.

Joan is a gardening nut! Organic gardening and native plants are her interests. Rich knows just a little bit about a lot of things - just enough to get in trouble...
