About Me

Hello, I'm a third generation Long Beach resident living in the Bluff Park section of the city, directly across the street from the beach. I also lived in Los Angeles for 25 years, so, I am quite familiar with that city as well and have some unusual recommendations fiends and family have enjoyed. I love to cook for people, so, there's usually a surprise coming from the kitchen. I will be a bit particular about surfers. You must have excellent references. I am most interested in English speaking visitors from abroad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in a beautiful space and place that I like to share with others - especially foreign visitors. A friend recently told me about Couchsurfing and all the interesting people he has met from all over the world. Being inquisitive by nature and completely interested in people, I thought I'd give it a try. Not sure if I will be a surfer, but am definitely into being a host.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music, especially classic rock and soul music, fusion jazz, lounge and classic country. Pretty much all music - but, not so much into hip hop and rap. I like dramas, light comedies, and documentaries in terms of film. I'm an avid reader of biographies - particularly of the pop generation - which I'm in myself!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent the night on a vintage French Steamer as we cruised throughout Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to talk - talk to people about their lives and share some of my relevant experiences. I always love to learn about new cooking techniques and cuisines and anything about gardening. I also enjoy talking about my hometown and living in Southern California. I'm a Disneyland Annual Pass holder, so, I can share some secrets about that as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't plan to do much surfing myself.
