About Me
Hello,
I'm an archaeology PhD who loves visiting museums, reading and meeting new people. I'm always interested in learning about different cultures, and being introduced to new people, films and art.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Often when I've been to places, I haven't got far beyond what wiki travel has told me is worth seeing. It'd be nice to meet locals and see a bit places as experienced by the people who live there.
Interests
Films, books, travelling, history.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ezra Furman, David Bowie, Lonnie Donegan
Junichiro Tanizaki, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, 'One Hundred Years of Solitude', Knut Hamsun
Silent films (niche, I know), pretty good on films with talking too
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I found an entire, 4000-year-old cow on an archaeological dig.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share an intense, almost ridiculous knowledge of political, archaeological and Eurovision-related trivia.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good knowledge of London, Oxford, Birmingham and Edinburgh - I've been a student in each of these cities, a professional tour guide in the first two, and generally just have a good general knowledge of British culture and customs that I love to share.
