About Me
Hey everyone!
While I've been on Couchsurfing since 2012 I've been a pretty dormant member but I have decided to change this for my trip to Taiwan as I am think Couchsurfing would be a good way to meet local people and learn about Taiwanese culture.
In terms of background I'm a foodie particularly interested in Asian cuisine and trying new things. My degree is in history so as well as enjoying conversations about it I'm an inexhaustible resource of random facts about it too. I read a lot with a particular interest in science fiction, dystopian, and gothic literature.

Music, Movies, and Books
Frank Herbert's Dune series, Indian literature such as Rohinton Mistry's 'A Fine Balance', and nearly anything by Margaret Atwood.
In terms of television series I've just started watching The Wire about a decade after everyone else :P My favourite ones at the moment would be The Expanse, The Bureau, and Succession. As I'm from Northern Ireland and a history graduate I'm also full and willing to share my Game of Thrones trivia, one things I liked about the series was George RR Martin plagiarised history for the storylines :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I really enjoy cooking particularly desserts and Chinese food, although Thai red curry is my signature dish!
