I'd rather spend my time beeing outside than answering such difficult questions ;-) We like to be in nature, hiking, boating (we have a little inflatable dinghy), seeing beautiful places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like to surf and host! Since 2012 we are part of the couchsurfing commuity and offer our couches for surfing, when we are at home. Last fall we were on a big trip: a round tour through the western parts of Canada and the USA. We had the chance to stay with some Couchsurfers and it was a great experience. They often could give us good advice and helpful tips and it was a pleasure to get to know them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before the trip to North America Rich did some couch surfing with his cousin in South America and had very nice experiences with that. And so far we hosted 2 CS guests in Leipzig.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rich: I've seen impressive places like the huge Perito Mereno glacier or the iguacu waterfalls, but I'm often also overwhelmed by less obvious imposing landscapes like a beautiful valley or a clear lake. The most deeply impressing experience while doing paragliding was reaching an inversion in a hight of over 3000 meters above my hometown. The sight downwards was already blurry while the sky above was in a clear dark blue. There were only a few cloudlets and me, the familiar sounds of the paraglider in the wind and furthermore only stillness. It was very cold but that also contributed to the feeling to be nearer to the space than to our little planet down there. I had forgotten all the stress and little problems of the daily routine and was absolutely overwhelmed of these impressions...

Anne: For my studies I spend 2.5 months in Malaysia recently. There I met great people from the local area as well as from all over the world. And encountered the great nature of the primary tropical rainforest (including meeting a big group of wild elefants!).
