ABOUT ME

I'm a freelance writer and travel addict, currently based in Bulgaria - but taking every opportunity I can to visit new places. I enjoy going out, drinking, and watching bands/DJs just as much as I enjoy cultural attractions. I'm looking to see new places, meet new people, and learn about different cultures.Some other things you should probably know about me - I'm very tidy, I don't take up much space, and don't need entertaining all the time! I have a good sense of humour, and I don't take myself too seriously...I also love cooking for people - it's one of my favourites hobbies, and whenever I travel I always try to learn to cook some of the local specialities...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When surfing I'm perfectly happy to be left to entertain myself, and a lot of the time I will need to be working anyway, to pay for all my travel tickets.If there is ever a chance of being shown around though, or given a tour, I would always be grateful!Right now I'm back at home in Varna, Bulgaria - and happy to receive surfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing. I spent the first half of 2012 traveling around Europe and Asia - I ended up visiting Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, China and North Korea.During that time I stayed with some truly lovely CS members, who made me feel very welcome... as well as meeting up with lots of others for drinks or adventures!Right now I'm saving up for my next trip, and I'm really looking forward to hosting for myself - and returning some of the kindness that I have been shown by all these lovely people.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I think the most amazing thing I've seen since I arrived in Varna, was the natural hot springs down at the beach. They always seem really crowded during the day, but a few nights ago myself and some friends walked down to the beach through the snow, sometime after midnight - the hot pools were empty, so we had the whole place to ourselves as we sat in the steaming water, drinking rakia and looking out at the reflection of the stars over the Black Sea.
